Your towing package will need to include a hitch, wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball to get you ready to tow. One important point is to check the vehicle capacity to make sure your Sorento's limits are not exceeded by the tow duty you're assigning it. Also know that your tow setup is limited by it's lowest rated component so all these parts need to be within their respective limits for safe use.
For the hitch, I recommend the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98843. This sturdy hitch will do the job well for you. It comes in a matte black finish that is more scratch resistant than glossy finishes and blends in well with the undercarriage of your Kia Sorento. Included is an installed example.
For wiring harness, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # 119250KIT makes the installation process easier because there is no splicing or cutting of wires required to install which is often preferred with newer vehicles.
A simple solution for a the ball mount and hitch ball is the Pro Series Adjustable 3-Ball Mount # 63070 which comes with the ability to adjust the height of the ball mount (rise or drop) as well as the ball size. This provides flexibility should you need to pull different trailers in the future. Included is a Help Article explaining more about rise and drop and why a level towing setup is so important to your towing experience.
Included are video resources for additional information.
