Installing Hook and Keeper for Trailer Door
Question:
Hello my new camper does not have a way of holding the outside door in the open position. My old camper had a hook and latch on the door and I was thinking of putting one on the new camper. The shop man at the camper store where we purchased the camper mentioned that If I install one I will want to used some type of rivets to secure the latch to the door as he said the door was a hollow core door and the screws would pull out of it. Do you have any idea what kind of rivets he would be talking about?

As you may expect, it would not be possible for me to tell you exactly what somebody else was talking about, and I would only be able to tell you about the products we carry. For example, if you use the Hook and Keeper # PLR9-A you would install either side with eight #10 mounting screws.
I have added a link to a video review of this part for you to check out.
