Question:
Im looking for a hitch extender like the Reese RP45292 but read in one of the Question-n-Answers that it wont fit my 2017 F250 stock hitch, did I read that right?

I do have a great solution for you here but the Reese # RP45292 is designed specifically for use with their Titan 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" trailer hitch receivers only. While it may fit, any issues would void the warranty if not used with their hitches so we would not recommend it. For that reason an alternative like the Curt # C45048 is a better solution.
Included is a video resource with additional information on the Curt.
