Question:
I have a 2006 Subaru outback with a 2 inch hitch and need a little advice. I am considering the Yakima full swing. I have been debating on a tilt down or swing away. Can they all tilt or swing fully loaded for access to back of car? I cannot seem to decide which one might work best. Is there some reason I should consider one over the other? thanks,

First off, this a great question, since these racks have different styles, but offer a lot of the same features like tilt away and folding up-and they're all compatible with 2" hitch receivers. Not all tilt-aways can be tilted fully loaded.
We have the Inno Tire Hold # INH142 that can tilt fully loaded. What the decision really comes down to are the benefits of a platform bike rack like the Inno over hanging racks like the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465.
In short, While I absolutely love the features and quality of the Inno, I recommend going with the FullSwing # Y02465 and I'll explain why. When the Inno tilts away, you might be able to gain full access or the bikes or rack might still be in the way. With the Yakima, It fully swings out and beside of the vehicle completely out of your way. It truly gives you full access to the back of your vehicle.
If you do go with the Full-back, or any hanging rack, you should consider a bike adapter like the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 for any bikes that do not have a level top bar. This will make the bikes easier to load and cause them to hang level instead of crooked.
