Will EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Affect Rear Backup Sensors on 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Published 10/18/2019 >
Question:
Hi. I really like the EcoHitch model for my Subaru and I'm ready to purchase it but i'm wondering all of a sudden about the backup sensors on my Outback. I have the 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon and it has the backup sensors on the bumper. Will t his hitch interfere with those? Is it going to think something is back there all the time? Sorry I just want to be sure before I take the plunge. Thanks!

That is a great question, but I can assure you that the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 will have no affect whatsoever on the rear backup sensors on your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon, both during installation and when the hitch is mounted. The sensors are on each end of the outside of the rear bumper, which is well above where the 2" receiver will actually sit with the EcoHitch in place.
I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.
