The integrated brake controller of a 2012 Ford F-350 is SUPPOSED to be compatible with electric over hydraulic brake actuators on trailers but what we've found is that a lot of integrated truck brake controllers just don't work consistently well with them. The best solution is to replace the controller with an aftermarket one like the P3 part # 90195 which is rock solid with EOH brake setups.
The Ford factory brake controller that is in the dash does not have to be removed. You will need to unplug the connector under the dash and plug in the # 3034-P adapter for the Prodigy P3 brake controller to the factory brake controller plug behind the dash.
The vehicle will need the computer flashed so it will keep from searching for the connection to the OEM brake controller in the future, eliminating any fault codes. This will usually have to be done at the Ford Dealer.

I have a 2011 - F250 super duty. I have recently converted my 5th wheel to disc brakes with the hydrastar actuator. I have the actuator adapter module. I have seen comments where the system works and where they don’t. Should the set up I have work for my unit?
