Question:
Looking for a bedliner for my 2020 Colorado short bed truck. Don't want a drop in liner because I don't want it scratching the paint on the new truck bed but it also has to be durable enough to allow me to occasionally carry wood and some tools. What do you recommend?

The BedRug Custom Full Truck Bed Liner # BRB15CCK is exactly what you need to protect your new investment.
It is made of 3/4 inch thick polypropylene, so it looks and feels like soft carpet which won't scratch your bed and will provide cushioning for your tools, but offers the strength and durability to stand up to even the most rugged loads like lumber, mulch and rock. It may sound crazy but it even resists battery acid, oil, and bleach! It's also water repellent and tare resistant so you don't have to worry about mildew or tears.
I have attached an installation video on a 2019 Colorado which I think you'll find helpful.
