3rd Brake Light Backup Camera for 2019 Ford F-350 That Can be Viewed While in Drive

Question:

our customer has a 2 camera system one on tailgate and one on third brake light with 8 inch monitor can i get a kit that allows you to view bed camera while in forward motion or new third brake light kit

Expert Reply:

You should be able to wire the power for the camera located at the 3rd brake light so that it has constant power and then it is switched on/off manually. If the current camera doesn't have that capability then you can install the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 8" Factory Monitor - Switch Kit # 3460001 on the 2019 Ford F-350 and it can be wired this way. I reached out to my contact at GCH Automotive who confirmed this. The only thing that you'll have to check out is if Ford automatically "locks out" the camera viewing. In this case you'll need to reach out to them to see if there is a workaround.

We have a few 3rd brake light backup camera's available for your 2019 Ford F-150, and I've linked the full selection below. The right one will depend on your truck's specific setup (OEM dash monitor size, whether or not you have a factory reverse camera , etc). None of the available options would be considered "wireless" though.
