Question:

Hi, I was looking for the best transmission cooler for my 2019 Volvo XC90. I will be towing in Arizona and am worried conditions may warrant a cooler. My vehicle is the T6 Inscription. Thanks

So when it comes to aftermarket transmission coolers there aren't any that are designed specifically to fit certain vehicles like your 2019 Volvo XC90. And the rule with transmission coolers is that because you cannot overcool fluids, you want the largest cooler you can get to fit; I have added a cut out of the instructions from Derale transmission coolers which shows this.

The type of cooler is also important, and I recommend a plate and fin cooler because it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid, which gives you a great amount of cooling efficiency.

With all that in mind I recommend checking out the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13504 (11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep), # D13503 (11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep), # D13502 (11" wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep), or # D13501 (11" wide x 5-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep).
