While we do have a solution for you, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13301 is designed for new generation models starting in 2007. My recommendation is the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # e98849 for your 2006 Silverado because the matte black finish tends to be more scratch resistant than the glossy finishes like that of the Curt.
