Question:
For the DL 14125 winch the strap specs. is listed for up to a 15foot strap. I have two questions, the first one being can I put a 20foot strap on this winch model and the second question, is the handle on the left drivers sideinch of the winch? Thanks for your help,

Expert Reply:
The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch part # DL14125 will only accept up to a 16' long strap due to the size of the drum, the Winch Strap with Hook part # DL6148 will be a good choice. The location of the handle would vary based on how you are looking at the winch. If you were looking at the winch straight on from the front then the handle is on the left side.
The Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch part # F142102 has a higher capacity and it already comes with a 20' long strap so this may be a better option for you. The handle is on the left hand side if you were looking at the winch straight on from the front.
