Question:
It closed during a rain but now it does not open. The rain sensor light keeps flashing red everytime I try to open the fan again.

This is a simple fix. Simply disconnect the fan from power, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, reconnect. When the fan is reconnected, the sensor will reset itself. I have confirmed this with Airxcel, the manufacturer of your MaxxFan Plus roof vent, part # MA00-04500K.
