Can a 2015 Subaru Outback accommodate two Hullavators?

Thule requires a few things to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs - Side Loading # TH898. You need crossbars with adequate overhang so the carrier doesn't make contact with the vehicle.
Crossbars that hang over the legs by 4" - 8"are needed and that would be on each side to accommodate 2 Hullavators. The other requirement is that you need 24-28" between the front and rear crossbars. But really the biggest limiting factor here is probably going to be weight. According to Thule your 2015 Subaru roof weight capacity is 130lbs, each Hullavator is 40lbs, plus your kayaks, plus the weight of the custom rack you would need to achieve this so overall this is just not a realistic option
Another option assuming the weight limit is not an issue here as well is using 2 Malone DownLoader Kayak Carriers # MPG114MD at 12.2lbs and is compatible with factory crossbars. These carriers allow you to use the Malone TelosXL Load Assist Module # MPG351XL. This doesn't use gas struts like the Hullavator Pro but it still features a lift assist for easier kayak loading.
