Question:
I am intending to use hitch #c11127 with a cargo carrier on a 2012 Mazda5. Typical loading would be about 100 lbs. Where would stabilizing straps be attached in this application?

Expert Reply:
On the vehicle side, you would place the stabilization strap end in the gab between the roof and the rear hatch on the 2012 Mazda 5. The other end of strap # 18050 can be attached to the top rail of the carrier either at the back in the center or at the front if there is space. As long as the strap is relieving some of the stress on the hitch, it is really up to you were you place it.
