Question:

Im interested in adding a trailer hitch to my mini cooper. Your website indicates that the following will fit the 2017 mini cooper, but Id like to make sure. There are three different models: the mini cooper, the mini cooper S and the mini cooper JCW. I have one thats just the mini cooper. Assuming this will fit, how would I get it installed? Thanks

I have another option for you, but the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer HItch # EH77FR you were looking at is only confirmed to fit the Mini Cooper S Convertible.

Since your 2017 Mini Cooper is non an S or JCW edition you will need the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7290 which will fit either the Convertible or Hardtop models.

This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver and is rated for 150lb tongue weight rating and 1000lb trailer weight rating making it a great choice for carrying a bike rack or cargo carrier, or even possibly towing a light trailer.

It looks like you were looking into bike racks as well, so for a compatible bike rack I recommend the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S64683 which will fit the receiver perfectly, and will accommodate two bikes weighing up to 45lbs each.
