Question:

I know the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 ignition has to be in the accessory position in order to flat tow it because it needs to be able to have the steering column unlocked. What I dont know, is how do you accomplish this on a push button start system on the 2019 Silverado Z71? Since you have to disconnect the battery wouldnt that disable the push button start system and cause the steering to return to the locked position? What is the remedy for this so the column stays unlocked while towing? Or am I wrong about it? Thank you,

In order to unlock the steering wheel on a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with Keyless Access you will need to keep the transmitter outside of the vehicle and manually lock the doors then access the vehicle by using the key in the door lock. If you have further questions on this process then you can refer to your owner's manual. I have attached some parts you will need to flat tow below.
