Why Is Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 Tire w/ Galvanized Wheel Listed as a Boat Trailer Tire
Updated 09/20/2019 | Published 09/19/2019 >
Question:
Is there any reason some wheels are labeled for boat trailer? What makes them different than any other trailer wheels? Can galvanized boat wheels be used on a car trailer if the load and speed rating are adequate? I like the idea of galvanized wheels to prevent rust when using during winter with salt on the roads.

The Kenda Karrier st205/75R14 Radial Tire with 14" Galvanized Wheel # AM32156 can absolutely be used on a car hauler. The only reason we label it as a boat trailer wheel is because of the corrosion resistance of the galvanized wheel, which makes it a great option for a boat trailer that sees a lot of moisture but certainly doesn't limit it to that application.
This tire and wheel will work great as a replacement as long as it gives you the proper combined load capacity for the weight of your trailer. This particular tire has a maximum load of 1,925 pounds at 60 psi. I have attached a short video review as well.
