Helpful Expert Reply:
Since you do not have much clearance between your existing tire and the trailer frame with the 5.30-12 on the trailer I do not recommend to use 20.5 x 8-10 tires because the section width is actually wider than the existing tire that you have on the trailer. The modern equivalent to 20.5 x 8-10 tires is a 205/65-10 and even at their lightest load range of B part # AM1HP50 the section width is still 8.3" compared to the 5.30-12 load range B part # AM10064 that is 5.6" section width. We normally recommend at least 2 inches or more of clearance between the frame and the tire.
