Replacement Leaf Springs for 18 Foot Equipment Trailer w/ Tandem 3500 lb Axles

Question:
I have an 18foot equipment hauler with tandem 3500# axles that needs new leaf springs due to breaking one set and noticing the other sets are bent. I currently have a 4 leaf 25 1/4inch springs. I noticed that my shackles do not make the traditional Winch around the equalizer. They point towards the center hanger instead of away from the center hanger. The measurements are: Axles 34inch apart Front Hanger centerline to Center Hanger centerline: 28 1/2 Rear Hanger Centerline to Center Hanger Centerline: 28 1/2 Shackles: 5inch long 3inch center to center Without moving the Hangers, can I put on shorter springs so that the shackles are in the Winch shape or am I just fine with the current setup?

Since trailer leaf springs can flatten out over time, you'll want to start by getting the most accurate measurement you can, measure from the center of the spring eye to the other center eye while the axle is hanging. You're probably going to need to use the # e54SR as a replacement. I'd recommend staying with your current setup, but I would check your shackle links to make sure they're still in good shape, the bolt holes should still be round, not wallowed out.
