Can the Power Wire for Trailer Wiring Harness 118470 Go Through the Firewall on a 2012 Nissan Altima
Published 03/23/2012 >
Question:
2012 Nissan Altima Sedan. I bought your drawtite hitch and this wire harness. CLearly, the tough part is getting the wire thru the firewall I want to snake the wire to the battery inside the car. Please help me find a way thru. I would drill a hole, but I cant find a safe place. One of your customers mentioned accessing the grommet by taking off the mudskirt. Is the grommet there ? Thanks.

Like the review states, that grommet should be there. Otherwise you will need to continue looking for a place to drill or route the wire underneath the vehicle. We have an informational FAQ I wrote that should help a little. It does not cover any specific vehicles but it does give you options for routing the wire.
It is possible that there are other factory entry points through the firewall. The issue is that the wire bundles going through them may be so tightly packed that getting an additional wire through could be difficult.
