Question:
Hi, I have a 2019 Ranger with the Tow Package, have seen some posts about Echo not working with this vehicle. Do you have any updates on this vehicle compatibility? Thanks

The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 will work on your 2019 Ford Ranger but you will need to do a few things in order to sync the brake controller because of the Smart Tow feature. The Smart Tow feature will only send power to the 12 volt pin on the 7-way which is what the Curt Echo uses for power when 1) this power circuit is activated via the in-dash settings and 2) the vehicle is turned on, the transmission is placed in gear, and the brake pedal is applied.
Once the above steps are completed you can then use the Curt Echo with your Ford Ranger without issue. If you want you can bypass the Smart Tow feature and just run your own power wire from the 7-way to the battery which will negate having to follow the above steps. This can be done with part # 10-1-1 and part # 9510.
