There are a few different options for the 2019 Subaru Ascent, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13400 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76253 are what I recommend choosing between. The main difference is aesthetics and install difficulty.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is easy to install as all you have to do is pretty much just raise it in place and insert the bolts but this then means you will see more of the hitch while installed (see photo 1). The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver is harder to install as you have to remove the rear bumper but it is also completely hidden once installed behind the rear access panel (see photo 2). If you are handy or are choosing professional installation then I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver.
I have attached install videos on both options for you.
