I am looking at the DZ43202 and need to know if I can use it on my 02 chevy 3/4 ton HD tailgate. I bought another one a few years ago and it broke within a few months

The correct DeeZee Tailgate Assist Tailgate-Lowering System for your 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 is the part # DZ43100, as long as you don't have the Stepside or Flareside model. This unit is confirmed to fit your truck and will work perfectly to control the drop of your tailgate. It does come with a 3-year limited warranty.

The DeeZee # DZ43302 that you referenced is only designed to fit the 2019 Ram 1500 and won't work on your 2002 Silverado.
