Potential Fixes for Stuck Thule Lock

Question:
Im having trouble turning the key on my car carrier with lock no14. The key only turns a quarter of the way. Any ideas.

I do have idea as this is a somewhat common problem with new Thule keys. What we have been told by Thule is that there can be a teeny bit of extra metal on new keys and if you wiggle the key around a bit, running it in and out of a lock core like # THLOCKN014 that is often the remedy. Otherwise you can also try spraying some lubricant into the lock and also wiggling the key around to help release the tumblers.
