Question:
Decker brand breaks on a shamrock 19 hybrid Need to know which Break away safety cable replacement to order

Expert Reply:
I do have options for you but just because the trailer has Dexter brakes does not mean it will also have a Dexter breakaway kit. If you want to replace just cable and pin then I will need to know the brand and model of your breakaway kit which can be found on the top of the switch. That said, breakaway kits are universal so it would be easiest to just replace both the switch and cable/pin with the Replacement Breakaway Switch with Cable and Pin part # K71-691. There are only two wires that need to be connected for this option.
