Is There a Way to Find Weight Capacity of Trailer Wheel
Question:
How do you the weight rating of a wheel on a travel trailer.the wheels on mine are aluminum.
asked by: Willard S
Expert Reply:
Most trailer wheels don't have a weight rating and they will work just fine with whatever the weight capacity is of the tire. The only thing that you have to be sure of is that the valve stem, like part # AM20904, is rated properly for the psi rating of the tire.
For wheels that do have a weight capacity that is determined solely by the manufacturer and there really isn't a way to know what that rating is unless you can find it online or you contact them directly. If you have a wheel that we carry just let me know and I can look further into it for you.
