Question:
The distance between the centre pin to front of basket. The aforementioned OP meant to say front but you had answered 29inch rearinch and or end as this s front of basket first. I need roughly 14inch to clear on a Jeep Wrangler.

The Curt Cargo Carrier # C18113 is going to provide 6-1/2" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the basket. A better choice, that will provide approximately 11" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin to the front of the basket is the Curt # C18150 and 10" from the rear bumper to the front edge of the basket (with a factory hitch). In addition to the added clearance, it's a bit larger to provide more space for storage.
These measurements are taken using stock hitch receivers that won't stick out much past the bumper, and in most cases aren't going to provide enough clearance to mount a cargo carrier, so I recommend upgrading your hitch to one with a longer receiver tube; the Draw-Tite Max Frame # DT78MR is going to provide the most clearance of any of our hitches that fit 2007 and newer Jeep Wranglers, leaving only 5-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of your spare (depending on the size of your tires). Pairing this hitch with the Curt # C18150 is going to provide you with the most clearance possible.
If your vehicle is a 2006 or older the only way you would be able to extend out past the spare tire is going to be with a hitch extender similar to # e88YR, however doing this cuts your tongue weight and carrying capacity by 50%.
