LCI Solera Power Awning Blows Fuses When Powered 1/2 Way Out Troubleshooting
Updated 08/05/2019 | Published 08/03/2019 >
Question:
We have a 2018 Keystone Cougar 26SABWE. The Solera power Awning worked fine a few weeks ago, then this weekend camping it blew a fuse when trying to extend it. Replaced fuse tried again and blew it again. Replaced fuse again and was able to retract it back into place and fuse was fine.. what do we need to do to fix this?

Normally this happens when the awning is binding up as it's powering out. Check to make sure that it's powering out level from left to right as it's very possible that one side is higher than the other which is causing the awning to not roll up squarely and eventually bind up. This is almost always the issue when an awning motor wants to blow fuses when before it fully powers out.
