Dimensions of Mounting Bolt Holes for the Curt Trailer Hitch 14055

Question:

What is the bolt hole dimensions on the Curt 14055? In the QandA above I find two different answers. 38 5/8” and 38 1/4”. Which is it? I want to install this on a 2017 Ford E-350 cutaway chassis where the Ford frame comes all the way to the rear bumper there is no extended frame. Looks like this hitch will fit and I will need to drill frame holes but I just want to confirm the hole distances center to center to be sure. Thanks.

The distances of the mounting holes for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14055 are 38-1/4" for the rearmost holes and then 38" for the forwardmost (towards the cab) holes. I have attached a dimensional photo for you to check out.

Please note that there are no trailer hitches that fit a 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway so, like you stated, you will need to modify your frame and there is no guarantee that it is completely safe since you will be modifying your frame.
