Is the drawtite or curt best for a Honda 2012 CRV?

My recommendation would be the Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75742 for it's increased capacity with a tongue weight rating of 675 pounds and a gross trailer weight rating up to 4,500 pounds. This provides you more safety margin when towing up to the maximum capacity allowed by your Honda CRV at 1,500 pounds if you intend to do more than just carry bike racks for example. It also has more accessible safety chain connection and has a bracket where you can mount your trailer connector.
You always want to check your CRV's vehicle manual as well so you don't exceed the provided maximum tow capacity.
If towing is not important and you're looking for a low profile design with an attractive matte finish to blend in with your CRV, my recommendation is the etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch # e98868. It has a 350 pound tongue weight and 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating. Videos for both hitches are below.
A wiring harness like the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236, a ball mount, and tow ball are also required if you intend to pull a trailer. Attached are some resources to get you started.
