Question:

I just purchased a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab. The truck came with HM47295 trailer brake controller. Im towing a 30 foot travel trailer. I was wondering if an owners manual is available to purchase so I have full knowledge on the operation of this controller. Thank you in advance for your time.

My mechanic just installed it. No trailer yet. But my car kept losing power on the way home. Something is wrong.

Something was definitely installed correctly - there shouldn't be anything from the Hopkins Agility (or any brake controller) that causes the vehicle to lose power during travel. Most likely the red wire from the controller was hooked up to the wrong circuit. I would bring the car back to the mechanic as soon as possible to have them take a look.
