Question:

I drive a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee without the E-Package. I want to get a kayak up on my roof, and I know this is one of the necessary parts to do so. My only question is, does I need to purchase two of these in order to get 4 base clips, or does the 2 pack provide enough clips for two crossbars?

Yes, you will need to order two sets of the BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers part # Y06121 as one set only comes with two and you will need a total of four. In order to finish the roof rack on your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee you will also need the Yakima JetStream Crossbars part # Y00426 and the BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars part # Y28TR.

The easiest option to get your kayak up onto the roof of your Grand Cherokee is with the Yakima ShowDown Kayak or SUP Carrier part # Y04081 because it has a load assist but if you think you will need multiple kayaks down the road then you will want to use the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier part # Y04073 because they don't take up much space.
