Video Transcript for DIY 2022 Ford Maverick Installation for the WeatherTech Front Floor Mats

Hi everyone. Aiden here, with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Weather Tech custom front auto floor mats on our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now these are gonna be, like I said a custom fit solution for the Ford Maverick. and you can see that all around the edges of the floor mat how it matches all the different contours of the vehicle and goes high up on the side walls to give us maximum protection, especially comparing this to the factory carpet mats those are gonna have a very similar footprint on the base and the front end, but the side walls on the carpet mats are pretty much nonexistent. Whereas here they're gonna be raised up quite a bit keeping all that dirt and debris contained on the mat, and not letting it spill over the sides.

It utilizes factory anchor points to help secure it. You can hear it click into place, and then there's all these channels that will help divert moisture into this basin here at the bottom. This thermoplastic material is going to be really weather resistant, so any sort of moisture isn't going to leak through here. It'll just collect, we can get that all cleaned up with a rag or a towel and then very easily get the mat out if we need to do any further cleaning. This is a set for the front, so you will get the passenger and the driver's side over here.

The driver's side utilizes the same factory anchor points. It only this time, there's two of them, one on each corner and then this one is going to give you much better coverage than the factory mat. On this one in particular, we'll get it laid over top, it's going to give you much better coverage not only on the side walls, but also for the dead pedal and underneath the gas pedal over there. So on the areas that were previously unprotected on this mat, you know how have a lot of coverage. And that's all there really is to it.

If you want them for the backseat, you can get a set for the rear as well, and I always recommend them just because it's gonna give you maximum protection. Those all-weather mats are really gonna help for muddy, snowy, rainy conditions, and it's gonna give you the maximum protection for the factory carpet underneath. Like I said, those factory mats just don't have any sort of side protection, and especially for the case of the driver's seat where you're gonna have pretty much constant use. You want those areas to be protected, by the gas pedal, because no matter what, you're gonna get a mess under there unless you have some sort of layer of protection, and these weather tech options are a really great fit. Using those factory anchor points helps keep them in place and it's gonna keep your car looking nice and new.
