Does Vehicle 12V Circuit Pass Through Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller

Question:
I have been unable to find any information on the controller in regards to the charging of the trailers accessory battery. The 7 pin connector has a connection to the cars 12v system, but is it just passed through, or does it go through an isolator/charger?

The 12V circuit from your Santa Fe's 7-Way connector will continue to pass through the Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 so that it can provide a maintenance charge to your trailer mounted battery. The controller itself doesn't provide any kind of boost as the circuit passes through so the battery's charge is still reliant on just the tow vehicle's 12V output during travel.
