Will the Curt Echo Work With An In-Bed 7-Way For a 5th Wheel Trailer
Updated 07/16/2019 | Published 07/14/2019 >
Question:
Can this controller be used when plugged in to a bedside 5th wheel receptacle? Im having intermittent failure of my Integrated Brake Controller on my 2009 Chevy 2500HD and Im considering this as an emergency backup solution.

Yes, you can use the in-bed 7-way on your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. The Curt Echo has been used in this manner several times before which has proved the angle of the Curt Echo does not matter, it will still function as normal without issue.
The factory integrated brake controllers (ITBC) are know for being rather error prone so this will be an excellent back up option or even a full replacement. It will work alongside the factory integrated brake controller just fine.
