Expert Reply:
In order to help secure the Erickson Big Bed Junior Hitch Mounted Load Extender part # EM07605 inside of the trailer hitch receiver you can use the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # 63232 which works to both reduce movement and offers theft deterrence.
That said, this is a common complaint of the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender and there can still very well be an issue with the connection point for the top portion of the extender so a better all around option is to upgrade to the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Bar part # RTL002 which will be much more stable than the Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Mounted Load Extender.
