Replacing Wishbone 4-Way Connector on Trailer

Question:
I have a 4 wire 4 way im trying to replace: The trailer Harness has : green brown,yellow brown, and white. The new plug has : green, yellow, white, brown. Ive attached the browm yellow to yellow: brown Green to green, white is attached to the trailer Ground wire: I have brake lights and left and right turn Signals. NO RUNNING LIGHTS: I attached the brown To the yellow brown: no: Brown green to brown: no. Where does the brown wire go to get running lights?

It sounds like you have a wishbone harness on the trailer that uses a separate running lights wire for each side of the trailer. From the picture you attached it looks like these two wires were molded to the turn/brake signal wires (yellow and green), most likely to ease the process of running them down the length of the trailer.
When wiring your new 4-Way you will need to peel back/separate both brown wires and connect them both to the running lights pin, being sure not to also connect the green or yellow wire. This should resolve the issue and allow for proper operation on all the tail light functions.
