Dimensions of Aluminum Tie-Downs for Thule TracRac Sliding Ladder Rack Base Rails

Question:
What is the dimension of the inside of the loop. I am thinking about using them as a mounting surface for round or square cross bars in a low profile application.

The TracRac base rail tie-downs, part # TH25100, are pretty small so I'm not sure you'll be able to get a crossbar in them. They're 1-3/4 inches at their widest point and about 5/8 inches tall at the tallest point. Thule SquareBars are 1-1/4 by 7/8 inches and Yakima round crossbars are 1-1/8 inch in diameter.
Even if you do find a fit I don't recommend using them to secure crossbars. It's not what they're designed for. We might have a way for you to get a low profile rack if you let me know the year, make, and model of your vehicle.
