The hitch referenced in your question, Draw-Tite 2-inch model # 13368, does not fit your 1988 Dodge Ram pickup but we do have Draw-Tite and other brands of hitches that are confirmed to work on your 1988 Ram. The correct hitch to use will depend on your pickup's bumper type. Please refer to the linked article.

If you click on the linked page you'll see all hitches for all versions of your truck and you'll want to select your bumper type using the drop-down menu tool. Select your bumper type and you'll then see only the hitches that will work with that bumper.

If you have the deep-drop bumper I suggest the B&W hitch # BWHDRH25198 because it has both the highest weight capacity and an easier installation that other options. If you have a standard bumper or a step bumper then the B&W hitch # BWHDRH25122 is the best option, again for its high capacity and easier installation.
