It appears you are looking for a trailer wiring connection for your 2009 Ford F-150. There are a few different options I recommend depending on your truck wiring.

If you have no factory wiring, then you will use the Tekonsha 4-way harness # 18252 with its quick splice connectors and circuit tester to install a 4-way trailer connector. If you have the factory 4-way, then I recommend the Hopkins # HM11140735. If you then want to upgrade to a 7-way, you can use the kit # ETBC7 to do so and also add a brake controller like # 90195 if desired to tow a trailer with brakes.

If you have the factory 7-way, then I recommend the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682 or the Hopkins # HM40975 if you prefer that style. If you wish to add a brake controller, I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 mentioned above, but you can simply use the custom wiring harness # 22292 for that connection between your controller and the factory 7-way connector.
