The best option I have for you to replace the latch in the living quarters of your 2000 Exiss Gooseneck Horse Trailer is with the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019 which installs in a 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall cutout. If your cutout is within this range or can be made to be then it will work perfectly for you. This is by far our most popular replacement door latch.
