The 5/8" you referenced is the diameter of the hitch pin hole, which will work for a 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver so long as it has a long enough usable length. For that you need the Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Lock for 2-1/2" Receivers by Master Lock # 1469DAT
