Question:

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 6.5 ft bed. My wife is asking for a cover for the bed and wants it to be secured and to add a lock to the tailgate. What are the choices for a tonneau cover that is either locking or secured if the tailgate is locked?

What you guys will want is a tonneau cover that only can open when the tailgate is open and then a lock for the tailgate so that everything is locked up. In the lower price range like the Bestop you mentioned we have the Access Lorado part # 834532006601 which requires the tailgate to be open so that you can pull down on the release cord to open the cover. This is a roll up cover, if you prefer the folding style the Bestop part # B1623801 would work too as it requires the tailgate to be open to also open.

Then for a tailgate lock we have the part # PAL3400 which locks the handle you have currently.
