Expert Reply:
You can stabilize the trailer with the convert-a-ball adapter attached with Ultra-Fab Gooseneck Trailer Tripod Stabilizer part # UF19-950450. The Convert-a-ball adapter like part # CAB-C5G takes a 2-5/16" ball so you should not have an issue using this stabilizer as long as the adapter isn't too long for your trailer to sit on the stabilizer. The adapter is adjustable from 12 to 16 inches from the top of the gooseneck ball to the underside of the pin box.
