Can MORryde I-Beam Stabilizer Install on Camper with Underbelly Cover

Updated 04/30/2026 | Published 04/26/2026

Question:

We have a 2025 Forest River Heritage Glenn 308 RL. We are full-time RV’ers. Problem is, seems like the underbellyis covered and we can’t see the I-Beam. Will this work on our trailer? Suggestions?

Hey Sharon, in order to use the MORryde I-Beam Mounted Stabilizer for 5th Wheels and Travel Trailers # MR96RV on a camper like your 2025 Forest River Heritage Glenn 308RL you'd have to remove a portion of that underbelly cover which I'd assume is not something you'd want to do?

Thanks. You are correct. We do not want to remove any of the underbelly. But we would like better stability, thoughts?

@SharonC do you have any stabilizer jacks currently? Or just landing gear out front?

@JamesonC we have stabilizers in the back as well, but the rig still rocks with movement on the inside.

@SharonC are they scissor stabilizers or something different?

Hi Sharon, I have a 2024 Grand Design Reflection 324MBS. I am not full-time, but do camp frequently and the rocking motion we experienced caused us to evaluate options to stiffen the trailer. I have found that the MORryde I-beam stabilizers work best at the very front or very back of the trailer. The underbelly of the trailer should stop short of covering the entire I-beam, so there should be just enough steel available for the stabilizer to connect to without any modifications or cutting. I have implemented mine at the front end of my trailer. That said, I have found that the implementation of one stabilizer helps, but doesn't get the job done, so I have implemented three types of stabilization: MORryde I-beam stabilizers at the front end, MORryde 2" Hitch Mounted Stabilizer at the rear, and X-Chocks between the wheels. All three of these together do a pretty good job of stiffening the trailer and reducing the wiggle. Hope this helps.
