Trailer Axle Over-Under Kits to Raise Height of Trailer

Your response says the 3500# axle is 2 3/8” diameter. But the kit is states it’s for a 3” axle. That’s 5/8” of space. Is there an exact kit for the axle? Thanks

Expert Reply:
We have two axle over-under conversion kits, part # K71-385-00 for 3-inch diameter axles and part # K71-384-00 for axles that are 2-3/8-inch diameter. Both are otherwise identical and install the same way as shown in the linked example photo. After installation the axle will be under the leaf springs and the trailer's height gain will be the sum of the axle diameter plus the height of the leaf spring stack.
