Question:
I have a boat trailer that needs a new axle. Which hubs 4 on 4 would you recommend with this configuration? Would AKIHUB-440-2-G-2K work? My current axle measures 57 1/2inch hub face to face. Spring centers are 47. What type of spindles are on this 1800lb axle? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The correct trailer hub with 4 on 4" bolt pattern to use with the CE Smith Trailer Axle Beam part # CE33201GA is the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-2K. The spring seats can then be moved in 1/4" on each side to match your 47" spring center spacing.
The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-440-2-G-2K will work but you would want to use the above E-Z Lube option instead as that is what the axle has.
