The Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 that you referenced is a perfect option for your Lexus GX460 that features the factory 7-Way connector. This unit will plug right into that 7-Way to provide you with an excellent proportional brake controller that will automatically send power back to the trailer brakes in correspondence to the rate of deceleration in the vehicle (the harder you brake, the more power it will send back).
After plugging in the controller all you need to do is pair it to your smart phone via Bluetooth and you're all set. This is my favorite brake controller to recommend because of how easy it to set up and the fact that you don't need to add any additional components to the cab like with most other units since your phone is what is used to adjust any settings or activate the manual override.
I have attached a video demonstration that you can check out as well.
