Question:
Hello, I just purchased a P3 brake controller from you. My vehicle is not equipped with a factory brake circuit. What is the recommended wire size for a 4-brake system? I greatly appreciate the advice! Thank you.

If your 2007 Dodge Ram didn't come with any wiring connector at the rear from the factory then you need to install a 4-Way # 119178KIT and the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This comes with everything you need to get your Prodigy P3 # 90195 up and running including the 10 gauge wire that we recommend for the brake controller.
Some models of your pickup came with a factory 4-Way and some came with a factory 7-Way. Both options require the Adapter # 3020-P which connects the controller under your driver's side dash but if you have the factory 4-Way then you still need the Kit # ETBC7. This connects to the 4-Way and then includes duplex 10 gauge wiring that you connect to the brake (blue) wire which it stops at the connector that is located under the driver's side wheel well. In order to finalize the installation you must splice into this wire and continue it back to the ETBC7 plug.
I have attached the installation instructions for the ETBC7 kit that you can reference.
