Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an LED Trailer Tail Light. Now this light provides your trailer with stop, turn, and tail light functions. You can see here that it's a double light design. It's a full LED system containing a total of 80 LEDs, that's 40 per unit. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they're much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about changing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments with LED systems and on this particular light we do have a weather proof housing and lens unit.Very strong and durable, it's well made. Also has a deflector built in right here in the center. It is a surface mount installation, so it mounts directly on the surface of your trailer, hardware to do so is not included. But it does come with a nice foam gasket for mounting. It's a six wire design.
White wires are ground wires, black wires are for powering the tail lights or running lights, and then the red wires are for powering the stop and turn signals. It is SAE and department of transportation compliant.A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall length, measuring edge to edge going this direction, we're a looking at about 11 inches. Going this direction, that's about eight inches. Overall depth is about an inch and a quarter, that's how far it sticks out from the actual mounting location. The distance between these holes on center, it's about five inches.
Going this direction, hole separation, center on center, that's about I'm going to go and put it at seven and a half inches. And then from this one to this one, on center, we're looking at about 10 and a half inches. So there's a total of six mount holes on this unit. We're going to go and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. So again the white wires are the ground wires, black is for the tail and running lights, and then red is for our stop and turn signals. Sends out a really consistent signal.
This is the running lights or tail lights. Then we have our brakes, and turn signals. Do that with the overhead lights turned off. So there's the tail or running lights, brakes and then the turn signal. And that's going to do it for today's look at the LED Trailer Tail Light.
